Iraola takes charge: New Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has officially begun his recruitment drive by securing the signing of Spanish winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna. However, former goalkeeper David James warns that Iraola faces immediate pressure to succeed due to his unusually short two-year contract.
The Diomande bidding war: Liverpool are heavily pursuing 19-year-old Ivory Coast star Yan Diomande, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly dropping out of the race to clear a path for the Reds. While Liverpool are willing to pay around £86million, RB Leipzig are holding firm and demanding a staggering £112million fee.
Carragher urges caution: Club legend Jamie Carragher has warned Liverpool against overspending on Diomande based purely on potential, especially after last year's costly transfer window. He noted that while the teenager has the physical traits of Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah, the players signed last summer have yet to prove they were worth their high price tags.

Midfield targets monitored: The Reds have reportedly made contact regarding Borussia Dortmund's Felix Nmecha, who possesses a £70million release clause that does not activate until 2027. Additionally, Liverpool are said to be on high alert as Real Madrid may allow defensive midfielder Eduardo Camavinga to leave this summer.
Inquiries and missed opportunities: The Reds are also said to have made a tentative phone call to West Ham United about 21-year-old midfielder Mateus Fernandes, though they chose not to follow up with an official bid. Meanwhile, the Liverpool and Arsenal have both missed out on highly-rated 16-year-old Norwegian midfielder Eirik Granaas, who is travelling to complete a move to Porto.
